One of the best parts of my day in terms of productivity is around 9pm when things are nice and quiet and I can send of 5 or 6 tasks for my virtual assistants to take care of. The reason its such a nice part of the day is that I get to unload tons of stuff that would otherwise rattle around my head as I try to fall asleep. As far as I'm concerned, when I email or call in a task, it's done. Whether or not it's actually done, my involvement at this point is finished so I don't have to worry about it anymore, or until the assistant comes back to me with a question.
Even if it is something as simple as calling a doctor's office to make an appointment or something trivial like calling a store to see if they have something in stock, those stores probably don't open for at least 12 hours. I don't want to waste even a second of those 12 hours thinking about what I can't do anything about until those places open. It's this time shifting ability that makes virtual assistants so amazingly liberating.
Think about the possibilities. You could be standing in your underwear, brushing your teeth, "getting stuff done"
